This is a wonderful post! Add to this the fine tuning of an LLM that is educated on your ontology and LLM could generatively produce your domain-focused code rather than the component-faced code.

AND you're so right in your criticism of misfocus on componentry and leaving the assembly into some larger composition as "an exercise for the reader". Software developers need to think far more end to end (a) so that their work becomes an approach to solve specific problems -- making it far more easily composed into something bigger if needed, but it at least becomes a kind of reference implementation that could be used as is when appropriate; and so (b) their work is actually finished! Perhaps (b) is logically part of (a), but it seems we as software developers hind componentry rather than actual problem solving to be an end goal when such should never be...
